Orford has many nature walks in and around town, and most of them have stunning views.

Stay at Home

Or you may choose to stay in and relax!

Lyenna is the local Indigenous word for 'water' and you will see why as you watch the Prosser River flow gently through the hills and join the sea in front of you - to the left is a protected piece of land that is a fantastic place to watch birds. A sandspit sits in the middle of the four-hectare Raspin’s Beach Conservation Area and it has been labeled an “Important Bird Area" by Birdlife International. You might be lucky enough to visit when Fairy Terns, Red-capped Plovers and Hooded Plovers are breeding.
